ok, this now qualifies for entry here.

Beat up Husqvarna 261
First the good news:
1. this was given to me free
2. all parts are there
3. case is good except for where the top cover bolts onto case, holes have rattled bigger, need to fix that with inserts or something

Bad news:
1. oem piston and cylinder NLA, need a good used cylinder that will clean up, and a new tank or a 55 tank, anybody have one available please pm me.

It ate something but I am not sure what yet, the circlips did not have ears on them and I do not know if they used too. Maybe a needle bearing gave out? The crank bearings do not look bad and the crank turns over ok

Maybe something came out of the carb??

Looks like a mini plasma cutter hit it.

These boots are made for leaking............(Nancy Sinatra was hot in here day)

This is a 562 that someone rebuilt. Not sure if it was a shop or the customer, but this is a little on the sloppy side. Saw wouldn't even run, so there was little risk of the thing blowing up.

And this one is a T540 that picked a fight with a tree that was much bigger that the saw is. This thing was really tore up, and I probably shouldn't have even messed with it because it needed a lot of crash parts. I've never seen a boot torn completely off like this one is.

You know pictures like this had me pulling my mower deck to give it a good cleaning. Nothing wrong but got to give it a good service. I enjoy reading all of these posts.
