Don't tell anyone but I find the idea quite appealing
I know a guy that sells firewood, as a side job, and has only one chainsaw. His saw is a Husky 455 Rancher with a 20" bar. He cuts and sells over 20 cords of hardwood a year.
He also has only one deer rifle.....an old Winchester bolt-action 30-06 made in the 1960's.
I prefer several sizes of saws and hunting rifles.
Yeah I wish I had the self control to have a one saw plan lol
Whoa Ryan. Lotta saws buddy.
But you're right. Only so many you can use.

An 044 would have sounded better.Wouldn't be a rancher tho
I use to have the same setup but with an 18" bar. It was the only one I owned and it never gave me any issues. I sold a lot of firewood using that saw. This chubby redneck dude by me cut more firewood on the pipelines around here than a human can fathom with an Ms 390/16" bar and *s-wordty gas with stihl oil .. the farm saws work fine despite how bad they get ragged on.
I dont think he ever cleaned the air filter..that saw took some serious abuse..still runs too.
