I have to measure it to see how much but just eyeballing them that’s how it appeared.

@sawmikaze if you had to guess why do you think the ported one behaves better then the stock one? Do you think the modded muffler is helping get the heat away from the jug and electronics? Or the ported jug is just running how it should stock? Or do you think the stock one is just a dud? Is it out of warranty? If so maybe send it out to one of the members like treemonkey that knows 661s very well and get it fixed proper. Nothing pisses me off more then a tool not working as it should. Especially a tool that costs $1000.

I have no idea, in all fairness the guy I got it from ran the piss out of it and its warranty days are long behind it..I still hate it.

My most recent 201T c-m is a piece of *s-word too.

And when I saw the stripped out handle screws that go into the spring on my new 362 I was disgusted..they thread into plastic..junk.

I use the Stihl 026, 440, 660 mentality.

That's what I'm thinking, too. But I might swap the 044 for an 046.

And I got to have an 084 for the really big stuff. And an 076 super for milling. And it would just about kill me to get rid of my Contra S or Contra GS, and I might as well keep an 041G around, and you really need a top handle, so I can't cut loose with my 020T Super...

Seriously, now. I have close to 100 saws now. And I'm about to sell a bunch and keep vintage-ish Stihls to use. But I think it's going to be a 9 or 10 saw plan when it's all said and done.

There's no balance with the Force. My 3 saw plan....3 of each (Dolmar, Husky and Stihl) was totally blown out of the water with the acquisition of my new 346XP.
