046 rebuild... bearings felt just fine, but replacing them for good measure. Definitely glad I did. Check out what the flywheel side looks like! Definitely glad I'm replacing them. Don't think they had much time left!

Bought it off eBay. Not one of my usual sellers. The *flywheel* side seal came in a Stihl baggies and says Stihl on it. The Clutch side seal came in a small clear resealable baggie (not a big deal), but the part itself doesn't say Stihl on it. Did I pay OEM price for an AM seal? Pictures...

I *think* I understand that blowdown is the time after TDC until the upper transfers open. (Is that right?) EDIT: No, dummy. What I don't understand is how that affects performance. Wouldn't the transfers opening early cause a loss in cylinder pressure? Somebody smarter than me please...
