Ok, i'll try it lightly and see if it works. I oiled it down a while back but was afraid to clean it. it's not real bad just a couple spots.probably...as long as it aint sand paper!

I doubt it...its all hardened steel, all the markings are engraved so they aint going to come off...red is just finer so it clean it up better...I think green is gonna be a little coarse for that
*f-word if I know...I got it with a bunch of other stuff from an old machinist that was selling his stuff...he actually worked at starrett when he was younger, so it was probably supplied to him when he worked there...How old is that one?
