I know what you mean. I was 15 before I lived in a house with a bathroom. One of my grandparents had a bathroom, the other did not.

We moved off the farm in '68 to a home with indoor plumbing. Who would think that a 10 year old would be excited about indoor plumbing. What is that roll of soft paper hanging on the wall? That's even softer than the paper they used to wrap peaches in. Bliss. The only downside, no more reading material always at hand.

Well monkeys...looks as if Uncle Sams' airplane business here is going on hiatus for a little while across all squadrons...C-17's, C-5's, C-130's, F-15's, EC-8 JSTARS, RQ-4 Global Hawks. AFMC/ALC base-wide command decisions...the Generals do what the Generals do!

Effective Monday, we are authorized up to 60 days paid Administrative Leave until things change...how to define 'until things change' is not our interpretation. Several more confirmed cases here in mid-Ga, several folks have been forced to go home across the base over the last several days, being symptomatic to some degree. Not saying they have the COVID-19 bullshitt, but decisions have to be made when twenty thousand are employed here btwn DoD Civil Service, Active Duty, and National Guard.

This stay at home/no base work policy is only in effect until decisions are made to bring everyone back...and if called back at any time throughout this 60-day window, report back the following workday...it's back to monkey business and airplane business as usual.

We got a local Co-op shop and a great Safeway store most people I know are being pretty
Sensible and the ones with health issues and older friends and relations aretrying too keep away from
The outside world and all we can do is help them when you can

I'm no expert, we’ve been more than a bit slow and lazy about the whole thing...just asking peeps to go into self isolation if they'd been abroad. Most probably did not. .. and I say no more than for every positive test there are probably 10 more that are untested.
Yes most peeps will get through it, if you don’t have other probs.. lets hope a drug is found soon that works..

I'd like to claim that it was an altruistic act on my part but it wasn't.
They're related to my wife and are irresponsible not needy. If not for the kids, I'd have let them starve.

We have had a provincial state of emergency invoked. Doesn’t really affect things much just gives them extra power to enforce things that were previously recommended.
Second day in a row without any additional positive tests. Approx 600 tests being completed per day. Lots of samples being collected, wait time results has gone from 24 to 72 hours. Tests being completed based on a priority basis not just order of collection.

A state of emergency has been declared by the powers set out in Section 10(1) and 10(2) of The Emergency Measures Act to enable the province to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“This decision was not made lightly. However, we must continue to use every tool available to ‘flatten the curve’ and reduce the spread of COVID-19 on our communities and our health-care system,” said Pallister. “Our government is focused solely on the health and safety of all Manitobans. This move will enable us to react more quickly on a broad range of supportive measures to stop the spread for COVID-19 and ensure that essential services are available for all Manitobans during this global health pandemic.”

Retail businesses including grocery or food stores, shopping centres, pharmacies or gas stations must ensure separation of one to two metres between patrons assembling in the business. Public transportation facilities must also ensure that people assembling at the facility are reasonably able to maintain a separation of one to two metres from others assembling at the facility.
2. Limiting hospitality premises where food or alcohol is served or any theatres offering live performances of music, dance and other art forms as movies theatres to 50 people or 50 per cent of the capacity of the premises, whichever is lesser. These establishments must be able to ensure social distance of one to two metres between customers.
3. Immediate closures of all bingo and gaming events.
4. Immediate closure of all wellness centres offering physical activities, gyms, fitness centres and athletic clubs and training facilities
