Here's some pictures for you @MustangMike. I'm surprised you didn't ask for them. All I did was wiped it down a little. I put the 20 inch bar on it. It came with the 28, you can see it's barely used.

Stock , 7300 or 10mm 044.

Ported, 372

The spring AV does take a bit of getting used to. For a felling saw, I prefer a stiff AV so you stick it in and use the dawgs without a bunch of mush.

That's a good question. My 044 served me well for years. Now I have a ms 460 And a372. Your in good hands with any of these 3. Its a toss up my favorite. I'm usually partial to husky. 372 and 044 are sweet great saws and capable of getting you through even big wood and jobs. Even lacking stump power they get it done. In 70c.c class only I probably wouldn't trade a 046mag of the last run, for anything. I've run Em all the 046mag was the baddest. I'm glad I have both and a ms460. The 372 won't leave again, one reason, when the wood and tops get to big for the top saw. My climber uses my 372, which virtually eliminates the need for a 20inch size saw class, because it's nearest that weight, but far stronger. A 372 for tree removals is a huge asset.

I've had both. 576 is smoother with the same power but doesn't sound as wild

I had a guy telling me his MS390 was out cutting his MS461 in same size wood.

Only difference he said the 390 had 20" and 461 28". I dont know how his chain was. I told him either your 461 something wrong or chain.

I told him put the same chain and bar on both and get back with me.
He never got back to me. So who knows.

Stock 461 dont run like a turd stock 460 with stock pencil eraser exit hole when new does it?

Nope. They run a little better than a decent running 460

Oh it was a older 039 not 390.
Who knows. One of those I wish I had them both in my hands to see.
