Jonsered 2172 and Husqvarna 372. Run well and feel balanced in the hands. I run 24 Sugi with a square ground chain. Great combination.

CFB MS461R with the Webber wrap.

My other favorite is still a MMWS MS461R That he did the thread on way back in 2011 or 2012.

85cc isnt in the 70cc saw class, its in the 80cc saw class

The ms500 is still less than 80cc's, so it fits in the 70cc class, by the skin of its teeth
There is less difference in displacement between a 064 and 500i… than there is between a 500i and 044. Would you say it’s more fair to compare a 500i to a 064 than a 044? Maybe it comes down to opinion?

It is all opinion, but power head weight should also be a consideration.

When folks say it goes by the tens ... period ... I told them that my 362 (59cc) runs real great for a 50 cc saw ... and they screamed bloody murder! Everyone just said it was a 60 cc saw ... close enough!

Think back, was "I" any one of those "they" that screamed ?

We all could muddy up any clear water, very easily in most cases, but for this thread, it looks like any saw that has a displacement of at least 70cc but not 80cc or above fits
