85cc isnt in the 70cc saw class, its in the 80cc saw class
The ms500 is still less than 80cc's, so it fits in the 70cc class, by the skin of its teeth
Beautiful saw, I want one set up like that just so I can stare at her and enjoy the view!I have nothing else to compare it to, but this 7910 Tree Monkey ported motorsaege is a performer. The only downside thus far is the clutch cover clogging when noodling. I had looked at obtaining an ms500i last fall but no availability, high price, thirsty, and it seems everyone likes ‘em ported anyway, so I figure I have less invested in this ported than a stock 500i. YesI mean I still like a 272. No love?
The 2 266s and the 2 268s in that picIf you have a dozen saws and you don’t use them every day I don’t think it’ll be a problem for them to last 35 years!

I've got 5 or 8 272s can't remember
I grab a zoo city 272 or stumpshot 266 or 268
Most every time I go cutting.
I've ran all but these latest generation computer saws with damn primer/purge bulbs they can keep them.
I'm doubting they'll last like my 20 to 35 year old 266/268/272s
I had a computer saw once it sailed it did.The 2 266s and the 2 268s in that pic
Have never been rebuilt just carb kits seals and lines when I got them.
Hence forth they are 20+ year's old
I got them used and put ported cylinders on them.
I'm curious how long these computer saws
Will last
Since updates seem common with them.
And how long will will companies support them.
Bull *s-word you have to be up to a couple hundred nowHoarder

I think saws and ope just follow what’s been done in cars just a lot slower/more delayed. Change sucks sometimes but it’s a necessary evil. Those who stay stuck in the mud just get left behind.Well like everything in Life time will tell!
