I got a real clean low hour 2165 looks like new.I still need to change out the coil has a 13300 in it trim some carb tabs as well. Would like to find a 2171 or 2172 cover with the clips to get to the filter. Then it could have a hd stickin out the top as well.Have a feeling it may become my new favorite:cbiggrin2:

I ran a 372 for a while.
Smooth and powerful yes
Dull feel and fatiguing sound..... yes

Much prefer the solid feel of an 044

I have found the spring AV on many different size saws not to my liking.

I sold the 372 and am in love with my 10mm 044

The higher pitch of a 372 annoys me too Tony.

Seeing as I'm currently working on building another 272XP for myself, that must be it. They fit me better somehow, and is really my favorite saw to use. I've tried the 372, 2171,70E, 044, 440, 038 MAG, sure they all cut nice, but somehow I get fatigued at he end of the day from running them, seems like just another job to me , think I can cut longer with the 272 and feel better while doing it, hard to explain really, just is I reckon.

Good spring AV, and no high pitched scream. I get it.

661 is the only spring saw that feels right to me,394/5 is close.

I've had a bunch of 70cc saws and I really liked most all of them.

Stock 2171, ported 2172, 372xp, ported and stock 7900, ported Solo hybrid, stock early 12mm 044, ported 10mm 044, ported 440/046 hybrid, stock 440, ported 440, stock 272xp... In my opinion, they are all very good, and for me, 70-80cc is by far the most useful size.

266SE with a 272 jug under da hood is my fav!
272xp in the herd also..Waiting on sum parts as I picked it up used-tired, and have ran it a bunch.
Gonna go thru it and hog out da cylinder while it is off.
Yep,266 w/big bore kit is my medicine.

I have a 460, it's a nice saw. After running my new 440 with heated handles, that's my favorite. Ran it for an hour around dusk. Temps in the mid teens. After cutting i had to take my gloves off because my fingers were so warm.

My brother has heated handles on his MS460, has never used the feature!

I'm not sure how much, but it does add some weight.
