Amsoil saber is blue and has fuel stabilizer. Iirc, amsoil dominator is a red/purple colour and it doesn't have any fuel stabilizers in it.
Thank you for the info on the dominator.

He had ran a tank through the saw yesterday, still had a bit of red oil in the crankcase. Figure he probably runs 50:1

Just told me amsoil and 93 for mix.

Once I pulled it down
Knew it couldn't be saber, seen the dominator bottle cap was red, assuming the oil was too. Guess running gallons a day every day stabilizer isn't an issue.

This needed a new o ring on the float bowl, somebody farked the old one, pilot jet was plugged, gen was hunting. The pilot jet has a tiny hole,, I used a torch to get it cherry red then compressed air to clean it.
The o ring cost more than I paid for the unit. This is a net pic, mines a bit cleaner,,, takes 100/1 mix,, probably use red armour,,

Got my friends 371 put back together today. Running great and holding its tune. Just have to pick up the carb isolator rubber piece that holds the filter elbow and I’ll be giving it back to him for a torture test. Oh and I’ll be giving it back to him tuned a tad rich, he said he’s never touched the jets since he bought it in 1998. Oh boy

Long project, not because it was a complicated one, more that I don't priority them 346/353's. Low hour saw got the normal service parts + part wall w/clamp. A buddy of me have shown interest to purchase her and that is probleby how it will end +(my wife will be super happy to hear that I'm not addicted to my saws :D:D:D) (there are more to come soon ;))

yeah, right, I guess it wouldnt go long time before a new 346 top end came on her :D
They actually sold many of those 353's in Norway, 345, 353 and 346 xpg was the big sellers, 350 not so much.

After 545 and 550 xpg arrived they had campaigns to empty the stocks of 353/346's, I still remember they offered us 353G or 346XP for the same price dump, same with JRed models

Strap-On did Work that’s just unbelievable.

Sanded that band with some rotary sander. Not sure that jug is worth fixin, but it would be interesting to find out.

Any sanding marks on the base?
Of course

As well as booger marks on the case

It wouldn’t be complete without the allways present crooked baseE13A96CB-9FE0-47B1-BE3F-944430FCA08C.jpeg
