You have to "play" with the angles a bit, a lot of play in the guide but I'm just using it to rough in the angle from a round filed chain.
I am a "virgin" in the square file thing and thought this would be the best way for me to get my foot in the door and get all the cutters close.
It's a bit clumsy but it will make them all close to the same angle.

Nothing"fancy"
LOL

Business partner was having a meltdown today so I really needed to decompress a bit, this is what I came up with to clear my head.

Not to be a downer but that doesn’t look like the right file. Little tough to tell in the pictures. Looks like you’ve got a bastard file. You need a double bevel file.

Yes sir correct.
I'm just making two or three passes with this setup to get a "guideline" to put me in the right direction. Then try to make my hand follow the angles close to where they should be.
This square thing is an art behind science to a round "clip on" guide filing guy.

Red lever 026 I picked up. Dealer said it won't start, has spark, has compression, but p&c are junk. Well I took a chance....

Won't start because flywheel key sheared and flywheel spun. P&C are only carbon scored, a little sanding and scotch Brite and p&c are now good!

ummm, 346 xpg trio brake year 2011, the adjustment screw for the oil pump broke, as usual a pro logger doesnt quit using them until the work is done.....

This screw also missed, gave me a tad headache since I needed to drill a bit deeper in the crankcase for a M5 bolt.

His saw is together again and can be molested more!

Ported 353 jug who head to my logger buddy, gave the exhaust port a tad P2000 polishing..

272xp full wrap handle bar getting a new stihl grip. Gonna start with just air pressure and then go from there. Maybe a heat gun/wd40 or some other lube.
I used flex seal on some other saw handle bars which took awhile to do. I used the liquid "flex seal" with paint brushes, took about 15 coats to build it up thick enough. So far so good with the flex seal, dust sticks to it like a magnet tho. 272xp full wrap deserves better so stihl grip it is. I bought 32"s of it in case I screw up some of it.
