I had read a few old posts about people wanting a wrap on a 036/360. So I decided to see if an 044/440 3/4 wrap would fit an 034/036. Had this farmtec one not being used and decided to give it a try. I had to trim a little and re/drill a hole but that was about it. The original hole (the second from the top does not attach to anything on the 034/036/360. I just screwed the original screw in to fill the unused hole. I had to the countersink the bottom hole because the normal handle screws are too short. I found one a little longer and with the countersinking, it worked out well.

Not sure if I’ll keep it on, but it is solid. 12E38C9B-26FA-488D-8FB2-3F0A95BAD776.jpegADDBB7BF-F480-44D9-87CB-C2CCDBD6EC25.jpeg3B712D24-BED7-40C1-9855-CFD71E5BB7B6.jpeg

Co worker inherited this poulan 306a.
It was filthy but under the scum it’s clean, really clean.

Had it tuned nicely but didn’t run on its side.
Needs a carb Kit
Which I have sitting but doesn’t have the carb to reed gasket.
And the gas cap needs a new duck bill...

Off to ebay unless someone has a better idea.

Finished up porting and overhauling a 372XT. Looks like i’m going to have to cut a tree down since I am out of test wood. Tried some different numbers, left the strato tract intact and only opened up the muffler under the factory deflector. He wanted it stock appearing. We’ll see how it does.

I found a gain in one I did last week for a co worker matching the lowers to the base using the gasket. They are way off. I didn’t hog em out, I just “funneled” them in gradually. No porting or strato gutting. Just gasket delete, took .010 off intake skirt, cleaned a little flash off piston, small timing advance (about 1/4 off key/1 fin of movement), hogged out under factory deflector (running screen still), plugged decomp and defeated carb limiters. Still has the stock limited coil and tuned it to just under the limiter. Stock it wouldn’t quite hang with my ported 562, now it beats it I think. Lol I must say I’m jealous now. Good lugging power.

I matched the gasket to the case, transfered to the cyl and matched them. Squish was 0.034 with gasket, so I sanded the squish smooth and then knocked 0.016 off the base with a final squish of 0.021. Numbers ended up at: In 77, Ex 98, Trans 117. Didn’t go crazy with the porting but did open the exhaust on both sides about 3mm, plenty of room to go more if needed. Caber rings, OEM piston, Nachi bearings OEM seals/gaskets. Took about 1/4 of flywheel key, left room to go more if needed. Left the decomp on. Also added full wrap, all new fuel/impulse/breather lines and new limited coil. I want it to last, not run at 16k for 2 months and grenade. Its definitely a big improvement from stock, but not as much as I expected. 4 stroking loud and clear and not bouncing off of rev limiter in the 1/2 tank I just put through it. I still have to run a few tanks through it to break it in before really giving it hell.

All in all he should be happy with his Christmas present.

They run damn good with a little port work. I don't mess with the strato either. Just take the divider outta the elbow.

I have in the past, left it in this time. I have a spare intake if he wants to try gutting it, although I am inclined to leave it like is. Doesn’t seem to have that surgy idle, and tuned just fine thus far.

Yep if it works that's all that matters.
