I have metal worm gears for the earlier 415 475 and jreds used and nos already. But they have a outer seal and smaller pto bearing. The later with plastic worm gear have the pto bearing and seal set up like 385 etc.

What I was wondering if the metal worm gear can be used somehow on the later ones for a fix for the guy. I know the oilers are the same for both.

I know the updated fix for the older ones was to go the other way. But now we need to see if it can go in reverse.

older and newer pto sides

I'm real curious to see what you come up with for this.

BIG-T Rapper??

Cool, I also do a little bit of DJing.

Nah I'm no rapper or dj...I just mess around makin little beats for a couple buddies to rhyme over. Used to have protools and recorded a little bit but that computer took a *s-word so back to basics. Samples and the mpc.

Widened out the intake just a bit (DO NOT REMOVE THE LITTLE NIPPLE IN THE INTAKE, IT SUPPORTS THE RING AND RING PIN), cleaned up the lower transfer port opening and streamlined it a bit, widened the exhaust and cleaned up the oogly casting in the exhaust port. Matched the heat plate and muffler inlet to the exhaust and modded the outlet inside the factory hood/deflector. Bumped the timing just a touch (.010) and made the carb adjustable.

Runs pretty darn good. Have to put it in wood later and fine tune it.

51BEA314-D6ED-4248-9E5E-55D133696BB4.jpeg Piecing together a 460 that I got in a box of parts

It was straight gassed, so I pulled it all apart and cleaned it up. Piston was shot but cylinder cleaned up. Looks low hour to me?

It came with a non HD filter setup - got the parts in to convert it, but the carb studs are too short? Anyone know the PN? I came up with 1128 122 6603. Just curious as to how long those are? I don’t want to order the wrong ones. ( 2 3/8” or 60mm approximately)

Also curious which tank vent I need?

Not on the bench, just above it. Heat in the garage!

I like it! What brand and model is it? Looks like it is electric, assuming 220?
