Pulled the 415 I am rebuilding to check the updated worm gear set up. Yep it is just like the NOS ones I have. This one could go back to metal worm gear if need be.

Still need to see if the 505 425 445 could go to the metal worm gears or not.
I got worm gears for myself. Just trying to figure it out for folks in need of them.

4.5hp merc, replacing fuel hose clamps and fixing some wires, fuel hose clamp failed last time I had it out and the motor caught fire, got the fire out real quick with an extinguisher before any damage was caused.

Little Merc is back for repairs, still has a small fuel leak, fitting all new fuel lines, replacing 2 more hose clamps and found another vac hose had small damage that I hadn't picked up the first time.
Got a fishing trip next week, got to get this sorted.

@mdavlee didn't you try Dominant ceramic bearings? He puts them in his saws frequently and I'm pretty sure they are works saws, not race.

I do know that ceramic bearings don't last worth a shìt in an MC182 90° handpiece. Don't waste your money

It's funny though a lot of rase cars that I know of are running ceramic bearings in the front and they take a beating that's more or less the reason why I thought they be good in saw.
