Just had a 441 with about 20 hours on it come in for crappy starting and power. Checked fuel filter. Looked right color. Tried to fire up. It would run fine for about 10 seconds then run out of fuel. Tore into the carb and found the screen plugged flush. Pressure tested fuel line to see if it was torn. No tear but upon removal of the filter found the filter was cracked allowing *s-word in... Wtf...

i had a similar thing of a solo 667.. lucky i had a look thru the IPL and saw it runs 2 filters in the tank, as there was only one in the tank when i checked.. sure enough it had been sucking up thru the missing filter port and blocked solid the mesh inside the carby. cleaned it and ran like a cut cat.. saved from the dumpster from whenist it came.

Finished modding a MS390.

Now onto doing the same to his mates MS460. I can see why you guys love to dp these saws ( Aussie saws come dp)
How the heck is it meant to breathe thru that pissy little 7.5mm hole!! A stock MS390 has a bigger opening!

Going to end up like this.

The back hole is stock Aussie. And the front cover opening is twice the width from stock.

Took me a long time, but this baby is now up and going, left to do some real cutting work tomorrow.
346 xpg oe 07 week 15, no gasket, hda 199 carb, full rebuild, I have spend 170$ in total for the saw and parts, cheap I think.
I had in mind to do some of the same porting as I did on an 2147 WH and keep the saw for the collection, but it seems I will swap it for something else on monday, kinda sad to let this 346 oe go.....
