They may post that sign. But I bet if push comes to shove, it may not work the way they think.Every small engine shop ive ever seen (in MI) does this? Maybe the difference is that they advertise that policy. The (crappy) stihl dealer near me has a big sign to the effect that payment must be made in full in 30 days or the equipment will be sold to recoup costs.
The regular average Joe may just see that and go with it. But if they got a lawyer and fought it, the outcome may be a bit different than what the sign says.
The sign may be "store policy", but the law may be a little different.
All states have different laws. I am not privy to the intricacies of that states laws.
