Not to take sides here, but I find it very ironic that those who used to champion debate now forbid a discussion on certain topics
We have something in this Country called the first amendment, and it and the second amendment are the cornerstones of our freedom.
Everyone should be allowed to post their opinion w/o anyone being butt hurt or anyone being censored. And likewise, those persons may post their points of view w/o being harassed.
As my Father (who was a very smart man) told me long ago, it is great to help others, as long as you keep it in perspective and make sure that you are helping them, and not being so generous that you are allowing them to pull you down.
I feel that is what is happening in our Country now, and as a Grandfather, I resent it. My Grandchildren should be entitled to the same opportunities we had.
I believe that each generation has an obligation to pass on a better place to the next generation. The WW II generation, which included my Dad, did this. I think we now are failing miserably at it. Restricting people's freedoms, making schools look like prisons, and treating airline passengers like they are all terrorists is a reflection of this. Civilization is not moving forward, we are taking steps backwards.
I'll return to chainsaws now, thanks for letting me voice my opinion.
