They come from the factory with a very weak protection for the wires from the front handle, it's not a question if those wires break off but more or question when.
This is how I do it, place a shrink plastic/rubber a tad before the wire goes to the tank)

I also do the same with 254/262 and 362/365/372.

Check out this 1969 dt250 yamaha barn find with tool kit and View attachment 64919 it's got like new compression and fires good I've owned dozens of them and rt360s they rare now I'm going to help bring it back to life i still remember the oldies.
Looks similar to the MX360 I had. Those were strong runners in the day.

Doing a little cutting today with my 2yr old FS85.
A couple years ago I found it in the corner of the overstock room behind a pile of boxes. Never had gas in it.

Clinton D-35. Replaced the original Tilly HC with a 070/090 Tilly HL china clone.

Worked out an external impulse line by adding a tube spigot to the impulse passage in the carb.

Got it sort of running but a bit wonky.

Shouldn't the fuel supply line fill up while running?

Fuel tank plumb full.

Wished my 80 still looked like that! It's still in good condition but the plastic is starting to fade.

Axes are my newest thing. I've collected >40, mostly old vintage Plumb axes.

These Husqvarna axes are hand forged in Sweden, perhaps the best value on the market right now.

All three started with the same forged finish. I use a Multitool belt grinder attachment to polish them.
