Still tinkering with the 041 from last week, kinda determined that it might have a bad condenser so tomorrow I'm thinking about trying one of those WIMA capacitors. I think I had pretty good success with an 031 or 032, can't remember which, using the WIMA. Hardest part is finding a secure place to put it. Guess it wouldn't hurt to use a little RTV to hold it down..

View attachment 56087 Husky 55 I picked up with a rooted top end. Previous owner dismantled it so it might be a puzzle getting it back together, it's only the second husky I've worked on.

Clean looking on the outside. Look up the thread Teach me on the Husky 55 it will have good tips.

It's only the cover
The actual exhaust is OEM and is far from standard on this saw that's ported

Oh yeah forgot how those muffs work . And if your worried about it being shiny just drag it on some stumps

Sounds like the diaphragm might be weak. You sure the saw doesn't have any air leaks? Did you throw a new plug in it?
I was able to tighten the carb down a little more and it sounded better of course by then it was warmed up so I check again in while

is it pushing on it to start on choke and releasing completely when off choke ?
everything looked ok there

and ill be picking up a carb kit too today.

Waiting on crank seals for an MS180. Air leak after only 1 year of use, may have had it from the factory. Leaks vacuum when hot....when cold...holds pressure and vacuum just fine. Running warranty on this one.
Also went through the fuel system on an MS251C. That was a pain.
