Well, it's only 45cc. Lower exhaust should create more torque, and the owner is heavy handed. Keep the exhaust low, BD around 18 or 20, and widen things out. I know of another slick 346 that's running similar porting and it doesn't lose very often. If you can't beat'em, join 'emHow do you like those numbers Kev? I like seeing guys try different things!
Was only showing 160 on my gauge but I don't really trust it. Feels like more. What did you end up with for compression?
If you ever have to rebuild those I've got three and don't want to fight those stupid annular bushings to remove the handle just drill a 5mm hole where the left front engine bolt is though the handle i hate working on these a lot less now.Got a carb from a MS180 in the little USC. A buddy at work said my little saw is bogging. New fuel line and filter and a kit should solve that!
Thanks I hope not to!If you ever have to rebuild those I've got three and don't want to fight those stupid annular bushings to remove the handle just drill a 5mm hole where the left front engine bolt is though the handle i hate working on these a lot less now.
Back on track with Dave's S-10 build. I still have a ways to go but it coming together fine.

@Mastermind did a sucessful HDA87 build by using 199 as basic carb, you know how it work, we gotta try it out and yes, its shaft swapping.Tor: interested in the HDA199 carbs. Are you rebuilding them or just pulling the shafts out of them to use on the 87s?
When they are busted up like that I just use a pair of needle nose pliers to get them out. They are a little trickier if they are in good shape and you are trying to get them out this way. I have found it is easiest to tighten them by putting a bolt in the threads and running them in. then just hold the front metal part to back the screw out.who designed the piece of junk needing special tools to take off and on about effin stupid if ask me lol
