Got a carb from a MS180 in the little USC. A buddy at work said my little saw is bogging. New fuel line and filter and a kit should solve that!

I needed a deflector for the holes I drilled on the Port side of my 066, and I don't weld, so I took an old battered 460 muffler cover and cut about 1/4 off of it, re positioned the holes, and did some bending. Won't say it is pretty, but it bolts right on and looks like it will work very well, so I'm happy with it!

I also sharpened that 36" RSLH and lowered the rakers. Should cut real well the next time out!

As requested, pics ... Sorry for the lack of contrast, but when you put a cut up muff cover on a muff cover, it is hard to see in a pic. Basically, I've got 3 - 3/16" holes in the port side (and 2 - 1/4" on the high side of starboard and a 1/2" hole in the baffle straight away) and the deflector works on all three attached with the upper & lower muff bolt holes on that side.

The starboard side holes don't need a deflector.

I also did this repair on a MS 461 today. The bolt for the chain catch was broken off partly into the hole. I drilled it and tried to insert an EZ out, but it broke off in the bolt. There was no getting it out. The bolt was down far enough that I was able to drill the hole out larger and insert one of those locking acorn nuts used on the dogs. I used Loctite PL Premium as an adhesive, and the hole was tight enough that I had to tap it in.

I inserted the bolt flush with the bottom of the nut, then put a dab of grease on the end of it to stop the adhesive from sticking to the bolt (and it will keep it out of the center of the nut also). This also made it easier to insert the nut straight.

My next door neighbor said to let the adhesive dry for 2 days and it will be as strong as steel. He is the second person I have run across that is infatuated with this adhesive, and I trust both of them.

FYI, the instructions call for moistening the surfaces when bonding metal, and in addition I sanded both the bolt and the inside of the hole to provide for some additional grip.
