Currently working on an 09 arctic cat 1000 prowler. Customer let the machine sit for a long period of time from what it looks like. Well, old gas rotted the fuel pump's filter out and ruined the pump as well. Wouldn't push more than 25 PSI, and it took awhile to get there. Ordered up a new pump.....$670 later....and put it in.....sucker breaks the tire loose every time. haha Now to finish the service and it's on consignment. Only 300 miles on it to.

Got another MS460 running today, only one left to go. (the crushed one will not be fixed here, it will take a ride to TN to amuse someone's Grandson). I discovered today the flywheel side of the case was cracked, could not see it till you removed the coil.

Already got 6 of the 8 non running saws running, and if I can make it 7 I'll be happy. A lot of clean up and maintenance on them, they were worked hard and put away wet! Lots of saw dust past the air filters, worn out chain sprockets (some literally cut in half), broken & missing bolts, etc.

But I did learn something today. Ya don't piss rev a saw that has a clutch, but no clutch drum! Good thing I caught on before there was any damage! Lots of parts are on order.

I did that one time with a 143 dolmar and threw one shoe through the roof of the shop. Lost it and the spring.
Never have found either.

I hardly run a husky but I reved one with the bar off not long ago and the clutch hit the floor and took off. Out the shop door it went and up the hill then into the sunset. Damn that *b-word was moving
Ive also done that on my bench but it got against the wall and spun

Nice looking saw. Are you putting in a new tank vent?

Yes, I bought it from a tree company, piston is scored, guy would not give me a straight answer, but I think it was straight gassed.

They put it on a shelf and then robbed all kinda's of small parts off on it, tank vent was one thing, mufflers screws, and few other odds & ends.

It's a clean saw. Judging from the way the rest of the saw looks, I don't think it has much time on it. It still has some of the sticker on the front of the case.

Will see what it's like when it gets back from Randy's?

This little guy is going to be a farm warming gift for a friend of mine. The last place she moved onto she cleared 35 acres by hand with a machete.
