Got the ratty old 930 back together. Fresh bearings, seals and Piston/rings. Fired right up and she sounds great. Will make a chain for it tomorrow, get her tuned and in some wood.

Great, you got my saw done! Just let me know what the damage is and I will dispose of that obsolete Swedish doorstop for you. :beer-toast1:

Those are good running saws. Lots of compression usually.

I hated the early Polaris atvs. Suzuki king quad took more of a beating than it should have and kept going.

I haven't checked the comp yet but it takes a healthy yank on the rope to get it fired up.

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Well in between half a million interruptions at work today(Stinkin customers!) I was able to get that Polaris 570 going today. :campeon: What would normally take 2 hours took 5 because I couldn't be left alone. :BangHead: But it runs and drives like a top....which is abnormal for a polaris.

I put my rat rod 064 back on the bench this afternoon. It was doing odd things randomly and slowly getting worse.
If I held it at 1/3 throttle it would cough like the fuel was turning on and off.

I could not get a carb kit for the BING carb so it was first on the list to check.

Put the NIB Walbro WJ10A that I bought predicting the BING may not live forever on the saw and the problem is gone.

While I had the air filter off I decided to do a bit of porting on the filter mount plate to help streamline the airflow into the carb.

I didn't make the opening bigger, just removed a lot of stuff in the way
