Smartarse. I need a bigger USC.
Hahahaha no, you just need to spend more time with the pressure cleaner blasting all the water and muck back all over you.
Cleaning case halves SUCKS!

My pressure/steam cleaner blows small parts into the next County. Spend more time trying to anchor the piece than cleaning....and you still seem to miss a spot. So it's parts cleaner then USC.

I have a slab of timber, about 3 x 3 foor square and 2" thick
I lay it on the lawn, put on gum boots, stand on the parts and blast them.

Once done I need to strip as I am soaked and covered in greasy black dots of muck but the saw parts are clean.

Its great work in the summer!

The one I traded Awol was 180 or something like that on a new piston.
Made a chain and half assed tuned it this morning. Noodled a couple pieces from my wood pile and it feels strong.

Hopefully I'll have time to go have some fun with her later.

dont know if your steam washer heat up water, but it make a huge difference on chainsaw cleaning. Done both ways, never got a clean saw with cold water :)

Oh yeah, its a great big oil fired jenny that belongs to a neighboring business. I get to use it pretty much at will. But it's more sized to bulldozers, excavators and portable drilling rigs than chainsaws. Someone inexplicably painted my IH 46 haybaler New Holland red and yellow. One soaking of Castrol Super Clean and this cleaner and I had peeled it back to the original IH Red.

I think you'll like how it runs. Better than a 288
Cut some big maple with it today and I'm pretty impressed!

Unfortunately it's leaking bar oil like that's it's friggin job. Guess I'll be tearing it back down to try a different approach with the crank case gasket.

If I didn't already have a 385,390 and 395 it might have a permanent home here.

Tor, as many heated saw as you got. You should never have to wear gloves again.........
I quit wearing gloves in 12, I feel actually a bit more safe without gloves, dont know how to describe it but I have more control over the saw.
3xx and 5xx front handles isnt that pricey new, it's flywheel & generator who cost lots, forgot to grab one 346xpg flywheel, will next time I visit them. Thought to have some flywheels and generator for xmas giveaway.
