I quit wearing gloves in 12, I feel actually a bit more safe without gloves, dont know how to describe it but I have more control over the saw.
3xx and 5xx front handles isnt that pricey new, it's flywheel & generator who cost lots, forgot to grab one 346xpg flywheel, will next time I visit them. Thought to have some flywheels and generator for xmas giveaway.
I think the last 372 front heated handle I bought was $42

they are a tad more expensive in Norway, but what kill most xpg rebuilds are the cost of flywheel and generator, if I remember correct it's over 100$ for one flywheel, and generator is 80-100$.
Can't remember how much the rear heat element cost, but it's the same element on 346 and 357.

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Got that dern Polaris out of my hair. Let's just say this.....re-doing the starting system which included a new key switch, solenoid, starter, and battery. And also doing a complete inspection and service, also flushing the fuel system brought the bill to a total of $1114.96. lol Should supply my paycheck and a half. lol!

I haven't had time to post much or work on anything lately. Work has been crazy busy, and 2 kids and prego wife get the rest of my time . But I need to get ready for the pa gtg so I tore down my 361 that I ported. It seemed like it was low on power and comp. When I took the jug off I noticed the roof of the exhaust port was messed up. Plating had a chip in it and the aluminum was dented up. Wtf!!!. Go to take piston ring off and the ends are in line with the the exhaust port. Here the locating pin pushed inside the piston allowing the ring to spin around. Don't know how it didn't catch on the port. I was able to fix it and have a piston and caber rings coming.

Also need to test the 066 I ported. I made a couple cuts with it and it sounds pretty good. This Friday I have a day to myself to go cut and get some saws dialed in before the gtg.

I'm starting to wonder if maybe Tor is heating his house with all those heated handles, instead of wood cut with them. o_O
The new alternative energy, powered by Husqvarna.
Greeen energy is the future, I tryed to plug them but they didn't like the 220 voltage, I consider to swap to Stihl, heard they are better then Huskies.

242 to the left, 262 to the right, NLA stuff or soon NLA stuff..

Not sure about better, thicker maybe. :confundio: Seriously though, I think those heated handles are a good idea, will be considering this in the future with a 50ish cc saw.
I love my 346 with'em, built a 372xpg this summer to go with it. My Dad bought a 550xpg first and I thought I that was just silly.............Now I want them all heated. ;)

I've never used a heated handles saw either. I got a jonsereds 820 with heated handles from esxw that I need to put together. Just need a crank. The con rod bearing has a small crack in it. Couldn't feel any movement until you got it in the right spot.

It's the majority in Norway and Sweeden, 50cc xpg/wh.
We dont see many Stihls with heathed elements here due their price demand for it.

I never thought so much about them before, I bought one for cold weather, but I got addicted after I started to use it in rain weather.

you dont toss them, either sell it or give the generator away, they are expensive, almost as pricey as G flywheel.
If it's one 346 generator you can use it on several other Huskies

the nice thing with JRed is that most parts are the same on Husky.
That generator should fit 362,365,372, but I wouldnt be surprised if it fit far more Huskies also, most generator has the same size, if we take one 346 gen as example it can be used on 353/357/359, but it also fit 550, the only difference is the connections point who is a one minute job.

%&#$¢$, I thought I sucked Norway dry, seems I missed out another country, do I need to move over?

Hahaha. Parts bags had country of origins listed as Sweden, Denmark, Germany, China. You've got a lot of spreading out to do.
