what kind of oil are you using? that seems like too much splooge to me
Amsoil saber. 32:1. A lot of the splooge I believe is from the initial tuning session. I start out tuned really fat just to get them running. I then make a few cuts to get the saw hot and then start leaning it out and making more cuts until I’m happy.

20250101_070347.jpg20250101_070359.jpgintake leaks at the seem closest to the cylinder, that would have been fun to "tune out" of the saw!
I'm a big believer in verification with the mitty- vac on the old saws.
I sealed all the surfaces with a yamabond/ gear case silicone. Tomorrow I'll get to see if I over did it and sealed the impulse port too lol.

EGO ARC Lithium 56 Volt 6.0Ah battery pack slaughter!
Salvaging the cells, Sanyo UR18650RX, 3.6Volt, 2Ah, 20Amp discharge.
That is the voltage after having sat really everywhere at my place since I bought it a couple years ago.

The top one has multiple issues, the scored piston is the least troublesome.

The bottom one actually runs, but I don't dare fire her up now that I know the piston is installed the wrong way around.
