what kind of oil are you using? that seems like too much splooge to me
Amsoil saber. 32:1. A lot of the splooge I believe is from the initial tuning session. I start out tuned really fat just to get them running. I then make a few cuts to get the saw hot and then start leaning it out and making more cuts until I’m happy.

I'm a big believer in verification with the mitty- vac on the old saws.
I sealed all the surfaces with a yamabond/ gear case silicone. Tomorrow I'll get to see if I over did it and sealed the impulse port too lol.

The top one has multiple issues, the scored piston is the least troublesome.

The bottom one actually runs, but I don't dare fire her up now that I know the piston is installed the wrong way around.
