Not sure, but here is what a Stihl from about that time looked like:This is a Craftsman, how much was a Stihl in 1947?
I have an 046 I found a the dump, had to do the same thing and got an aftermarket fuel tank. I should have replaced the oil seals and bearings, but didn't, at the time the process was very daunting. Was cutting firewood and scorred the piston, due to an air leak. Not sure how bad the cylinder is yet. I really liked that saw, will definitely get it back running again.Completed the scrap pile 460 project today.
Aftermarket tank, but used OEM parts on it.
