The valve lever is too low under the carburetor diaphragmWorking on a friend's 026. I put a new top end in it, new fuel line and filter, new carburetor and a few odds and ends and it runs well at low speed and idle. When you open it up it falls on it's face and seems to run out of fuel. I've adjusted the carburetor a lot and I did get it to idle well but I couldn't adjust the H jet so it wouldn't run out of fuel. I checked the tank vent and it's okay, I cleaned out the old carb and put new kit in it and I will try it and check the fuel line for kinks. Other than that I don't know.
BTW, I did pressure/vac test the engine and it's okay.

038 magnum, first one I’ve come across in my neck of the woods. Only needed crank seals, runs like a champ.
One owner unit complete with accessories and original manual, plus spare new stihl chain.
The question is, to keep, or to sell? [emoji848][emoji848]

Little bit of scrubbing and one more day for the piston. I think it's usable?

On the intake side there's a shiny spot on the bottom ridge of the skirt.
