The time has come for the first launch R18 is my oldest monument. The engine is roaring, oil is flowing so you can fold it to the end :-)

362xp that I put together last winter and never used much. Now I tried it out and she smoked like a chimney each time I used it. You guessed it, chain oil in the crankcase.
Then I remembered on this saw I decided to use Chinese gaskets (farmertec). Normally I don’t, but had them there so I figured I’d give em a try, needless to say, the rest went into the wood stove.

don’t ever use much China parts, when I do I almost always regret it.

The 056 has a rather annoying habit of showing bright, clear spark when I ground a tester to the cylinder, but as soon as I put a plug in it the saw no longer has spark. I believe it did the with the previous SEM coil as well as the current Bosch setup, so I'm not exactly sure what the issue is. The CP125 was a battered, incomplete loggers saw I was gifted, it got a new bearings, seals, intake parts, and a carb kit. I still need to assemble a the carb assy and @davidwyby has the recoil shroud, but it's a bit of a backburner project. I just assembled it because it takes up a lot less space that way and it's harder for parts to walk off.

I prepared the R517 for the first start, moreover, I changed the ignition from the original points to a newer coil with the rifa module. I'm curious about the effect myself, test tomorrow

Was asked to look at a carbed Stihl 441 the wouldn't run rite. Not sure how many places it had been.
It ran like a air leak. So I tested vac n press both passed. Checked the carb as well, all good.
So after poking a prodding and what not I finally figured out that the strato port was not closing all the way, stayed open a c hair,, looked closed!! So I gave its spring one more twist, fixed the problem, But I think the shaft is wonky, owner can deal with that.
The online IPL show a few things that are dubious as well.
Was a good one.
Ya all seen saw pick B4

Not technically on my bench, but headed to my garage - roached '77 Corvette along with a '71 rolling frame, 350, Muncie M21 and a bunch of parts. Going to part everything out to try to raise funds for my '87 F350 build.

Dang the body style is one of, if not my favorite. Just so impractical…

Poulan 330, oil was leaking from behind the chain adjuster. I took the chain adjuster off and found that someone had filled a big hole with foam and put JB weld over it. I ground it out, cut a piece of stainless to fit over the hole and JB welded it in there. When it cures I'll go in from the backside and put some more JB Weld on it and hope it holds.
