Working my way through a box of coils I got from Woody Strommen.

Some need the spark plug wire replaced. The 1/4" hollow screw extractor bits work well for cleaning out the remnants of the 7mm plug wire if they twist off in there.

I made a crude hollow bit from a 3/16" spring pin for the 5mm wires.

So far there is only one coil that was actually bad, but two got wrecked in the process of cleaning out the broken wires.

I'm adding a raiser block to a 345 to make it a 353. But after tighting the raiser, the crank is not turning smooth anymore. I have 2 raiser blocks, same. But intall the original 345 jug is smooth as silk. No idea why.

Did you remove the metal tabs from the seals before installing the riser?

Currently on the bench - a pair of 7.3 IDI diesel heads. Have checked one pair for cracks with magnaflux and pen dye (did a comparison video) but still need to check valve guides (think I'm going to have bad news there) and check to see if they're warped. Have another pair to disassemble, clean, and check as well, so I'm hopeful that I end up with at least one good pair that won't need any machine work done.

New to me 143. 95cc. I’m going to clean it up and run it some before setting it up with the others. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg
I’d like to add that a fellow member here (and there) was instrumental in the acquisition of it and went way beyond the call of duty to get it to me. Thank you again.
