OMG
But, you know, it looks like you got a grinder at least.

Unfortunately I have ended up with three grinders. There isn't anyone local that can sharpen to save their life. Just best if I do it myself anymore.

Case in point.. This is a picture of a chain a friend was very proud of. Now I'm not picking on him because he is still learning. But wholy moley batman not one cutter is the same.......
I think I have him set straight but damn. Lost alot of tooth on that chain fixing it.

20221217_205351.jpg 20221217_205419.jpg Today's free stuff. SRM-225 and fs55rc whackers of weeds. Guy said the echo needed a new coil and he bought a new oem one and lost interest in putting it in. Got the coil with it. Turned out the ground strap on the plug was smashed up against the electrode. Echo runs like brand new now. The stihl will be tomorrow's project. He said it runs for a bit then cuts out

So what's the blue grinder with the hoses on it?

Steven

The grinder is a Carlton branded clone, I have a "Cool Spray" unit with a magnetic base I move from the blue to the red grinders to direct an air stream right on the cutters while sharpening. Even with CBN wheels the cutters will heat up, this is my effort to reduce any negative affects on the chain. I am sure it would be a lot more effective if I added a little water based coolant but I don't want to deal with that mess for now.

DANG your shop is CLEAN!

Particularly when I am taking photos...

When you're bored, you muffler mod your free weed eater by splitting the case, remove the cat and internal baffling bs and crimp it back together. Put a carb on it off a junk 55r and it runs good with a nice exhaust note with much better throttle response. Weeds won't know what hit em now...

Doing my own 200T. First I’ve ever touched.

I was surprised to see shítty open transfers. I hear they don’t suffer much from them.

They have the same base bolt pattern as the 024/026/028 interestingly enough.

I only took 30 from the band.

Lol weed eaters is about the only thing free around here because even in running condition they don't bring but a few dollars so non running people usually just toss them.
