That is a tricky saw to pressure test for sure. The impulse line snaps into the plastic intake holder. I tried 3 tapered plugs in intake with carb off and then pressurized through impulse. I can see where the impulse line can tear in the stepped down area in the holder. I will add with some finessing you can swing out the intake off cylinder without pulling cylinder. Hope this helps in your diagnosis.

Nah, I'll just pull the handlebar, muffler, carb, intake, jug, and all, and just try to hook my peepers on what the problem would be. I was hoping for a quick turnaround, but it's fighting me, so time to take the gloves off.

The owner of the saw mill across the road brought a 545 by and wants me to put a new throttle cable on it. After he left I looked at the part number of the throttle cable he left me and it's for a 450. When I called him he said the parts guy looked it up and it should fit, guess I'm going to find out.

Okay I may sell this if someone here wants it speak up. This is a buddies saw and I am helping him out. Decent shape from what I can see so far piston and cylinder wise. Has a ton of compression, it is a pop up piston. Muffler is dented in a little and it needs a couple screws. Old made in Canada Oregon bar.

Rebuilding an O44 12mm with a slant fin mahle. I tore it all down and found the reasoning why it blew the aftermarket cylinder and piston up…. Wtf are some people thinking. 82DA9180-5DF9-45E7-B2C0-233A3218628F.jpegF335A327-4034-4165-8B4A-A972EBAA9AF1.jpeg

I was on a job last year that we kept getting water leaks in the main lines, after the 3rd one we discovered that the contractors guys glued the top 3/4 of the bell end water line because they didn't lift it up after laying it in the ditches! So same behavior?

Pulled this one down to dust her off. Pretty sure its going down the road. Never thought i would sell it cuz its so violent but i did some self convincing last nite. My 2159 is my favorite for a few reasons. Its red and black, 59cc is damn near perfect 97% of the time and it was the first saw i ported. The 562 ported feels like a 70cc saw in 50cc package. A few variables is the 562 has a full wrap and double dogs but what i figured out is the 562 weighs 13.8lbs bare. 2159 is 13.2 bare. The 20” Tsumura lite bar is 2.2lbs. Oregon versa cut is 2lbs flat. If i get a versa cut for the 2159 im almost at a full Lb. Difference between the 562 and 2159, 2159 being lighter. I know this is gonna get guys throwing rocks and name calling but im scheduled for back surgery after the holidays. So GFY. Enjoy the photos:D

Nice looking saw, it should sell quick. Good luck with the back surgery, I've had three and I understand what your saying about using the lighter saw.

Well so much for porting my ice auger.....
F-ing thing wouldn't start so I went through the fuel system, checked spark and whatnot, still wouldn't start so I checked compression and it has 107 psi. Shoot! So I checked out the intake and exhaust and it's scored pretty good, I have always ran premium fuel with good oil but it's 20 years old and drilled lots of holes. Pressure/vac test showed the decomp leaking badly, damn things. Pistons are NLA for my auger but good thing I have a brand new auger in the garage I bought last year!
