This one will keep me busy most of the weekend. I bought it for a few days ago, just 20$. It have been kept in good shape over the years, top end & oil pump & clutch was already swapped.
It's the first 254 I have that I don't split in pieces asap. Have in mind to try different 254 jugs and squish checking. I may try later to make a 254 thread, there is a lot different versions of it.
Anyway, the picture:

111i Guy bought a new saw off us and said he had a few older saws. After the price of a good conversation, he gave it to me. Said he got it from one of his companies as they were about to throw it away. It had been sitting in there shop for years and his shop for years and he was going to get it going again some day. Never happened so he said it was better in my collection then his. I finally took the steam cleaner to it finally after its been in the shop for 8 months or so and wa-la... I've decided that's going to be mandatory first before blowing through 8 cans of brake clean anymore.

Its just a steam pressure washer. Regular idea of the pressure washer with a heater. You CAN turn it up to about 300*F but I tend to keep it around 120-140.

Got an ol homelite sitting on my bench at the shop. She's been sitting for awhile. Pulled the flywheel off and cleaned and regapped the points....replaced the fuel line and filter after flushing the tank...and without even pulling the carb off she roared back to life and after some pumping of the throttle it idled and reved nicely. Good feeling and will have one happy customer. Stop switch gives you a good shock though. haha!

We've got more old saws than we have new. They sound good huh?
