Got the 371 together last night about 11:30 didn't want to wake up the neighborhood so I left it til this morning. It's alive!! Has gobs of compression for just a base gasket delete and it sounds pretty nasty. Now needs a tune, B/C and some time in wood.

Not quite PSP material but I like it!

That's a nice saw to me. I don't mind the rough plastics. Glad the cylinder worked out good.

I've still got my 044 sitting on my bench. Working on a home made full wrap and gathering up the last of the parts I need for my hybrid build. I got my meteor ms460 piston yesterday. I still need to finish cleaning up my 460 jug and then I can start taking port measurements. Gotta find somebody that is willing to cut the base and squish for me. I'd like to have this saw all done and some run time on it before the NY gtg

You are in Canada.......shipping would be pricey, but I'd do the machine work for you.

@Mastermind Thanks Randy. I think I WILL take you up on that offer. I've never had a jug cut before so I'm a little sketchy on exactly what I need to do before I can determine how much needs to be cut. I'm still doing some reading on how exactly to do this.

I just need an accurate squish measurement with the base gasket installed. If you have any doubts about how to get a good measurement, just let me know.

Measuring the squish is easy enough to do. I'll send you a PM hopefully later today.

Well right now at the shop an ms310 from the fire department is sitting on my bench. And here at home my KM90 is sitting on my bench waiting for some attention. lol

On the 90 if it is giving you ANY run issues at all get a new seal kit and cam. I think it is less than $30.00 for both.

Problem I think I'm having is no spark(without doing any checking.) Went to fire it up and nothing happened...no pop...nothin.... So I gotta bring some tools home and dig into it a bit. Which I shoulda done today! lol But I wanted to work on my tractor instead. haha

Yeah the coils can be real flaky on those as well. I am not even a Stihl dealer and I keep 10 in stock.. How old is the unit and how much time do you have on it? If it has a lot of time I still recommend a re-seal. Basically every one that comes through the shop needs it.
