Not much lately. Been very overwhelmed with everything so I'm taking some time for myself. But Sunday afternoon I evaluated a couple snowblowers that I'm flipping. The 8/26 just needs a carb, slide shoes, drive cable and engine service. The Toro 521 got a carb kit and good to go.

Lady with the Troy Bilt rider let me know it's still not right. Decided to do some digging for bulletins on the Courage 18. Had 2 which don't look like they've been done. One is an updated heat deflector between the carb and cylinder head. Have that kit in stock now. The other is an updated shutdown solenoid with heat shield for the carb. That's on order.

Original owner saw wouldn’t start. AM carb jets 4 turns out. Brought’m in it runs, super high idle though with a adjustment almost out completely
No testing, just ordered new lines. If that doesn’t do it, I’ll test.
A little gunk citric degreaser to clean’r up.

Not really on the bench yet, but I took it out of the box just to see. My first thought when I lifted a 572 was that it felt heavy for its size. My first thought when I lifted this out of the box was that it felt light. Drained the fuel and oil out of the 2188, but obviously I couldn’t get it all. So I would imagine it’s 2 ounces or so heavier than what it would be if it were new

Looks like a fat-bottomed girl to me, ala MS-441...

Last night's project was this Toro 521 snowblower, replaced the carb and got it running. Set up the governor properly as it was over revving. Adjusted the carb, replaced the plug and good to go. Already sold it for a very good price.

Tomorrow I have a Yard Machines 8/26 to get running and fix a few minor things on. Then it'll be for sale.

I also have to check out a Briggs on a pressure washer that suddenly died on him. I did a quick check of the basics and they seem ok so tomorrow I'm digging deeper.

I like those gills for sure. Here’s what I got going on. This saw is an oil explosion. When I first saw this one I saw that oil was running out of a screw hole used to secure the plastics over the oil pump. I thought that a bit queer but rolled with it. I figured the screw would seal it when tightened. It didn’t. Now I got to think of something else. You don’t want to put a long screw in a shallow hole. 4A62789B-DF53-4AA0-B620-E5EECC457048.jpeg

Did some shop cleanup today. I'll continue my cleanup project tomorrow.

Also evaluated 4 saws. The 455 just needed a service. The 028 WB needs an intake boot. I'll have my dealer order it Monday. The 435 and 445 both run, I need to evaluate them deeper tomorrow.

No intake boots left for quite a few years now. Probably have to source a used one

Alright. I posted a while back about my workshop and making cabinets. Here’s the update. I made a new bench essentially, except for the kitchen.
