I would like to try my hand at square filing.

What model double bevel file could I get?

I’m having a difficult time putting the proper size or name of file in to look for one and order it.
They’re harder to find now with the supply issues. Try searching for double bevel or chisel bit. Treestuff had some awhile back

You will not get the correct angles with a 4 sided file, you need a 6 sided file.

These are the ones I use, they are not cheap but they work well. I see they are also in stock. I bite the bullet and order a dozen and they last me (and other family members) a long time.

It is fairly easy to convert full chisel (like RS) to square. You do not need to convert the whole tooth all at once, just making the corners square will make a nice difference. Start with angels 45* down, 45* slant and 45* across which is about best for hardwood. The most important thing is keeping the corner of the file in the corner of the tooth and stroking straight.

This guide helped me a lot to understand the different angles and their importance, The side plate cuts the wood fibers, the top plate just "chisels" out the chips. Your chain will not "feed" into the wood unless your side plate angles a bit forward toward the top:

FS85 got a new carb, fuel lines, fuel filter, plug and fuel cap. Runs excellent.

Finished up the Generac pressure washer. New valve cover gasket and soap tank cap. Gave it a quick detail for retail with some Gunk and pressure washed it with itself. Drained carb and put some pump saver in the pump.

What did you find here? some 2094/5 action?
Yep, a pair of full-wrapped 2094’s are hanging out for a little bit before they’ll get sent on to new owners. Lefty is already claimed and I’m waiting to hear back from a guy on righty. @JohnnyBlade Slackers don't get full wraps, but I'm guessing you'll enjoy seeing their little brother. He might be hitting my bench in the next week or so, provided enough of my current projects get finished up before then.

Pressure washer sold already!

Checked out a Briggs 14.5 ohv single I/C Gold on a Craftsman LT1000 that died on her suddenly. Anti afterfire solenoid died. Cut the tip off so she can use it while the replacement is on order.
