028 Super is one of my favorite saws, reliable as a rock and cuts well.A couple of relics.
028 Super got a new clutch, tank vent, plug, fuel filter, air filter cleaned and pressure wash. Just need to sharpen his chains.
FS96 got a carb kit and fuel lines. Ordered a new fuel cap.

Well, I don't feel quite so stupid anymore. Turns out @RI Chevy called it awhile back, the vented cap is not venting like it should so the trimmer cuts out if you run it for extended periods. I'll order up a new cap and maybe I'll return it next weekend.I feel very stupid right now. I decided that the fuel filter on the 235RII trimmer that has been plaguing me might be the problem, but when I opened the tank I noticed it was very low on fuel. I topped it off and now it runs friggin flawless. If it still runs well later this afternoon and this evening I'll try to return it to the guy tomorrow.
Wow...
Not just any 262. It's a Paragon Builders 262...lolThis ported 262xp that I bought last week. Just cleaning it up. Scrubbed it with Mean Green and put a new Denso plug in it. Took the stickers off, (sorry I'm not a sticker guy) and put a correct starter handle on it. Need to get a new recoil decal for it.

It was a dual sticker saw since it was a collaborative for a fund raiser.Looks like it's Nekked!!! LOL
Yeah, I've heard a wood screw is the way to go. There's also supposed to be a little "puck" in front of that, but the saw will run without it.Today I pulled the tank off my 2166 to investigate the vent leaking fuel. View attachment 310209
Swapped the tank with one from a builder I got from @blackbruin. Also swapped the handle as someone had cleaned the peeling black paint off it.
How does one replace that white vent tube? Wood screw? I will eventually need to when I put the saw together.
I have an EFCO 8420:brush saw I have had 30+ years. Bought it when we first got the property and we’re building trails. These days it gets an hour or two of use a year clearing brambles off the trails.
Thought I would check the air filter before using it.
I guess I need a new one! Disintegrated except for a scrap left.
What do I use and anyone know what the original looked like?
