The bench I require is gonna be too large to work with some of the equipment I repair.

Two days ago I did tow truck duty in which I brought back a dump truck with a busted driveline.

The yoke sure is spread open a bit. New U-joint don’t fit.

This is a pic of the u-joint. I’m holding the cap that snapped off one end, the other is missing and the two have already been torched off to remove it.

All new parts installed. Dump truck is back at work.

Simpson pressure washer got picked up and I finished up the 94R. Guy is picking up the 94R this evening.

The Husqvarna push mower I repaired last week crapped out on her today and I picked it up on my way home from work. Seems to be a carb issue again. It's tomorrow evenings project.

Almost passed out at work today from the heat so I'm taking it easy.

Hey Will if this is the square plastic Briggs carb I think it is, there is a repair fix video on Steve’s small engine saloon on you tube. He had to drill a very small hole on one side to keep it from clogging up. He said factory hole too small for some fuels.
Tried to copy link didn’t work.
Hope this helps.

Try the adult Pedi-a-light (spelling?) Any way you can get it in the pharmacy isle of the grocery store and it really helps with dehydration.

Got pump back together tonite. New sonnax prong boost and PR valve with one way valve installed to bypass having to drill hole through partition wall.
Hopefully my friction module will be here tomorrow. finding a raybestos GPZ Clutch pack for 4r100 internals is next to impossible right now.
only good thing I can say about Jasper after the issues with this motor is that all the upgrades were done in the transmission.
Since the motor and trans were put in I had to add coolant. Found what I thought was a bad freeze plug. Replaced it with no change in coolant consumption so it just got the be a check once a week thing. Come to find out it was a crack in the head between exhaust ports that they missed. Then I got it all back together after the machinist had checked them over, not realizing where the crack was and it still leaked coolant! I happened to catch it while warming it up. On initial tear down I found one head bolt finger tight with evidence it had been blowing compression out of the #6!cylinder from the get go. Along with the fasteners noted in the trans I don’t know that I ever will have a good thing to say about them.
If it weren’t for sorry luck with buying motorized things I would have none at all. It seems unless something is put together by a select few people or yourself these days there isn’t much hope that it has been assembled and torqued as it should be.

There was a company called Racing Head Service aka RHS. I do not know if they are still around or not. Decades ago my boss decided to buy a long block SBC from them. After installing in a 65 Chevelle, it was near impossible to get it running right.
At some point the decision was made to pull it and tear it down. It was supposed to have Venolia pistons but we found TRW slugs.
Main bearing, and rod bearing bolts were never torqued to specs. They were only snugged up. I don't recall what else was found wrong.

One bad referral is worth 10 good ones to offset the bad. I've lived by that motto for 35 some years.

Damn, that's a bit bigger than the Jeep ones I'm used to servicing! :eeek:

It is. Found a piece of dirt in the carb. No clue how it got there. Not charging her.

Ms311. It’s newer and has the 4 bolt intake. I couldn’t find a decent cylinder so I converted it to 3 bolt intake. She runs again.

Had a 2235TImax Ingersoll Rand impact on the bench.

The anvil crumbled to pieces due to years of abuse at pressures of 175 psi.

This impact removed so many hard to remove transport truck wheel lug nuts.

I can't count how many 1/2 guns i've been through. I have had the IR 231's, some snap-on guns which i hated,
using 2 of the IR thunder guns which are nice and a Mac tools gun which i really like. I beat the snot out of
mine and run 180 psi through them consistently.

Check your sockets, If the sockets are worn out in the square hole they will take out the anvil pretty quick.
