Does a huge clusterphuck and gaggle of hand tools, to the tune of dozens, that need to find their way back to the roll-away tool box, constitute a 'what's on your bench' post?...Or does it fall into the 'get off my lazy ass and get'em put back where they belong' thread? Lol.

I do have an MS-211 that idles/runs fine, oils fine...but when sitting not running, over any length of time, seems to wanna belch and leak outta the bottom, every drop of bar oil in the tank. Gotta keep a plastic trash bag or two under the thing while it sits in a cardboard flat. I guess he needs a little surgery...

Has the oil hose ever been replaced on its life? Does the beginning of the serial number fall before 295-?

Not sure of the oil hose ever being replaced by the previous owner. I'll check the s/n as well and see.

I think Randy did a thread not too long ago about a clogged oil tank vent causing this problem and one or 2 ways to repair/ replace it.

Might make a start on reassembling my echo twin this weekend.

I got alotta jugs to choose from.

Muffler mod is done. Just needs paint.

A bit of panel beating to straighten it out also. It's a spare. I still have a perfect standard one also.

Will both saws be runners Vince

Had a little poo in the pants moment yesterday while test and tuning a recently finished off 084.
While giving a good piss rev like above, it suddenly back fired , sparks out of the muffler and stopped suddenly.
I slowly pulled it over with decomp on and felt OK. So I tried starting it. Not happy at all and ran for a second or two before quitting.
Ok muffler off and look for damage. None [emoji15][emoji848] pulled over fine. Can't be bearings.
Something said check the keyway[emoji72]
Sure enough sheared the keyway off and had about 25 deg advance [emoji13]
Cheap easy fix but worried that 20 thou off the keyway broke so soon. Maybe flywheel wasn't tight enough[emoji848]

Flywheel should stay with no keyway installed. They are designed for alignment purposes only. If it slips I use some valve grinding compound and lap the flywheel to the shaft. Clean it up with brake cleaner and I've yet to have one slip again.

Why does everyone hate 441's? There's one for sale local but I know nothing about stihl other than 038's. I dont want to buy a POS I can't flip easily.

Some guys love them. Excellent filtration and great AV. But I had one and it felt as heavy and slower than my 460. So down the road it went. But I'm a power junkie [emoji2]

If it were me I would purchase it. If you can get it for less than $500.
