The last and final customer saw I'll be doing. I'll still be doing my own builds from time to time but shop has been shut down to the public. Tired of the headaches and bs of dealing with people. The $3 you make on fixing power equipment ain't worth the time and frustration. Supposed to be getting a coil soon for this thing and away it goes

That's where I'm at also.
Only friends and neighbors...
But that's not really worth it either but I'm just too nice and suck at saying no. [emoji20]

Craftsman LT1000 6 speed 42" cut. 14.5 hp OHV Briggs.
New carb, fuel filter, air filter and pre cleaner, plug, oil change, valve adjustment and new valve cover gasket, deck belt, drive belt, set of blades, deck cable, added a return spring to the clutching idler on the deck, greased the front end and set tire pressures. Runs and cuts good now. Before it was surging badly above half throttle and the broken clutch cable wasn't engaging the deck all the way. The clutching idler on the deck was missing the return spring which made the blades not disengage fully.

Wish I could just drop my Cub cadet 1863 off to you @WillG .
Needs the deck belt, sitting in my truck, installed and some other minor love. Linkages adjusted, a new batt. Would do a world of good for it to. I just ain't got the time ....... I will when winter sets in, but then I won't want to be in the garage. To damn cold.

I'm ticked. I pulled the top end on a 235R to put a new piston in it and plug an air leak and found the entire muffler side of the case under the cylinder melted. So, it gets another $45 thrown at it for a good used case.

Replaced a bar stud on a MS 460 and pulled the cylinder on a MS 461.

The 461 cylinder will clean up easily, so I ordered a Meteor piston.

I will also mod the muffler and pull the carb limiters as that seems to make these 461s a lot more durable (in addition to adding a bit of power).

The 461 was near new but the top of the piston was completely black, so I recommended he (a tree guy) switch from Stihl to Saber 2 cycle oil.

I wonder what the compression will be the first time you pull the cord. At least it won't score.:coleman:

Piston crown and chamber. The walls were damp like most saws. I was mostly referring to the oil left in the bottom for the bearings
