If you are thinking about one, don't wait any longer...
Think about the biggest size you think you will need....
Then get the next size bigger...
Then after a little while you think, dang why didn't I get a bigger one!!!

I actually purchased the one I wanted online only to have it actually be "out of stock"...
I accepted the next size smaller with a refund of the "difference"....
It's been a great unit and I have been super happy with it.
I just wish it was bigger!!
I think it is supposed to be 4.9 gal but not sure of the litre equivalent...
Lol

I guess mine is 18 liter (?)
I can put an almost complete power head in it.
I set up a saw to pressure and vac test it.
If it passes I can put the whole thing in the tank for a deep cleaning.
It's an amazing transformation on most saws.

I have put complete cases in up to 044. The top doesn't get done but that's the easiest parts to clean. I pop the seals out run them for an hour then blast with hot water, compressed air then a seat by the wood burner for a while. Then lube everything up and get ready for seals. Here is a 200t clutch cover in it for comparison.

I don't have any recent pics.
I had to screen shot some old pics to put those up.
That was an 066.

It never fails to amaze me me how much crap will come off something that is "clean"

What are you using for a cleaner in it?

The simple green / purple stuff.
About 1/3 gallon purple stuff to 4 gal water.
Jug was on top of the usc in the first pic I put as a size reference also.
It doesn't discolor or etch aluminum, although not likely at that weak of a mix with most cleaners.

Where did you purchase yours? Post a link if possible.
The 15L is appealing. The one is your pic is nearly 5 gallon -- or did I misread?

In my 6 liter unit I use a gallon of water and a pint of Simple Green. Just dumped and cleaned it out this evening and tomorrow I'm going to refill it with fresh solution. I'm currently out of Simple Green so I'm going to try La's Totally Awesome degreaser from the dollar store, I've heard that it works awesome. I've also found that keeping the solution clean helps it work better. I change it out regularly.

I bought it from eBay probably 8ish years ago...
I'll look for the info tags on it tomorrow, I think it has some specs on it somewhere.

Still using Mean Green 60/40 mix on everything. Cases, carbs, cylinders and plastics. All comes out clean and bright.
I’ve never used it that concentrated. I have a 10 or 15 L, and I put a few gallons of water in it and a couple glugs of mean green. I was always scared if I used it stronger it would peel the paint off.

I had some pretty dirty 044 cases that wouldn’t clean up well. After about three hours, the paint started to lift. I was worried that it was the cleaner, but now I’m actually thinking it’s the amount of time combined with the hot water that’s peeling it

The one downside to having a oversized ultrasonic cleaner is that it takes forever to get up to temp. That's the only issue I have with my 30L.

People say that they go through more solvent, but in all honesty. I clean alot of large parts and very dirty parts. I would be using a smaller cleaner 10x more often. So it's a wash to me. One or two big cycles or 10-12 cycles in a smaller machine.

I have been using water collected from my basement dehumidifier (free distilled basically) and oil eater. Works great for most items. A little harsh for some plastics though.

This ^^^^ is the best cleaner bar none that I have found. Pricey, at around $12 a gallon. ZEP and other branded Purple cleaner, as well as Simple green Green solution, will etch aluminum badly. The above will be safe at all temps for aluminum. I’ve left jugs immersed for 2 weeks in it and they come out looking new.

DONT leave oil pumps, case half’s or Dawgs immersed in these cleaners. The oil pumps are Mag and not aluminum and they will get moth eaten in no time. Dawg’s plating will gat eaten away in no time as well. Case halves start to pell and like Kev said I think it’s more the heat than the solution. I spray it on and use hot water and a brush to clean case halves.

You base your decisions on stock saws Wilhelm. Maybe his saw is ported and makes much more power?
I have two well ported saws, XS 50cc & MMWS 60cc, both wear a 20" 3/8" B&C setup - in true wood I don't want more than a 7 pin sprocket!

I don't care about a 8 pin 3/8" on my stock PS-7900 wearing a 20" B&C.

If I am going to show off in toothpicks and/or speedwood I'll utilize my PS-311TH! ;)
