Been looking for a saw for trail riding in my jeep, picked this up yesterday, carb cleaned and new fuel line, fired right up. Gonna decide between this and a ms250 to keep.View attachment 280612

I like the little ms250 to, DNT want anything to nice getting beat around in the back of the jeep, just needs to run a 16" .325, but I do have a spare 036 topend laying here....
Tell ya what though an ms250 with a 14” 3/8 Picco setup will Limb like a champ

The 044 is coming along. 20210131_163544.jpg
Had to make some new wires for the ignition system as all the insulation was crumbling on the original. 20210202_060522.jpg 20210202_060552.jpg
Got the cylinder on with the new meteor piston, (shes tight! 18 squish) with bgd.
Trying one of these new fangled dual port mufflers. Should be able to get her together and running by this weekend.

Ran the XS365SP with 8 and 9 pins. Video’d it only to realize my battery crapped out, so I have nothing.. It didn’t like the 9 much. Chain wasn’t really set up for it though. I think an 8 is best anyway. My boys HackedUp 365 is happy with the 8. Looking forward to racing the two.

Crappy little single stage snowblower. 123cc power more engine. No start due to water in the fuel and a dirty carb. Drained/cleaned/flushed/dried fuel tank and the carb is taking a hot bath in the ultrasonic cleaner. Added a fuel valve too. She'll be a good runner in a little bit.

A 8 pin will jeopardize torque, I imagine a 9 pin will do so even more so.

I like 3/8" 8 pin and .325" 9 pin on my 90cc with short bar, but I truly prefer 3/8" 7 pin on my 79cc and below.

For racing I think the larger sprocket generally favors RPM and works well especially on a ported saw that has torque to spare, but on a work saw I still prefer a 7 pin generally, easier for chain swaps also. Just my observations, not gospel.
