I finally got the carb kits for the Makita concrete saws and the damned things did not have buna-n checks .Those fiber glass or whatever they are .I did get one going but it's not right .Would not start on de comp so it might need a new ring, It only has one .I'll get on the other saw tomorrow . I really didn't want to have to change a ring but some times ya gotta do what you gotta do .Other than that they are in good shape cosmetically .
I use the tan fiber diaphragms and toss the others. They have the best combo of fuel pumping volume and ethanol resistance

Will. You need a nice wood stove out in your shop. Free heat. Wood will heat way better than that little stadium heater.
Used to have one and the propane wall heater does better. Really just needs to run for an hour or so to take the chill out. Shop is insulated.

will can you convert the heater to natural gas abs run it from your house gas?
House uses electric for the cooktop and oven, oil for heat and hot water. Unfortunately no city gas where I'm at. No city water either, I have a well.

I’d move at least to get better heating fuel. I remember when I was a kid going with dad to deliver fuel oil for heating.

Evidently they stopped using the paper type fuel pump diaphragms because that's all I've got in
the last several years .Although I did a get a few with the mylar type .
Damned things drive me nuts any way .With a Tilley HS one kit covers it all .Walbro not so much .Zama is the worst ,they must have 10 thousand kits and you have to have every number right or else they don't work .
I've got little plastic drawers full of carb junk but as usual never have the right ones .--mumble grumble---

Number 1 heating oil unless it's changed is kerosene .Number 2 is diesel fuel with no additives .As a teenager one of the part time jobs was dragging hoses for an oil jobber ,bulk delivery .Oil is just about non existent in these parts for heat but when I was in Connecticut while in the navy very popular ,50 years ago . RI of course is just a short drive up I 95 so it would make sense oil could still be used .

We get a little bit of a deal with the company we get our oil from.

Still no results from my rona test yet so I finished another snowblower. New primer and primer hose installed. Test ran for a while and ran great. Had to bump up the idle speed just a tad but it was no big deal.

I should have the air filter and pre filter for his generator tomorrow or Saturday. Hopefully I'll have him pickup Sunday morning.

Tossed together a quick video highlighting 2 recent snowblower repairs as well.

Finally solved the mystery of my buddy's Craftsman/Poulan. It would only run for a minute or two then stall. Everything checked out okay. Decided to put my eyes on it again today and was very surprised with what I found, surprised that it even ran at all. Tank vent was plumbed to the impulse port on the carb and the impulse hose was rotted off the crankcase nipple. Installed a new tank vent fitting and I'm going to make a new impulse hose. Cylinder and piston are fine as I pulled the muffler to look at the piston like I normally do.
