Now that's the simple no cost involved testing I like to know about! The easy way to check for a leaking welch plug is to pull the metering diaphragm, and the low side adjustment screw, then stick the straw of a can of carb cleaner in the low side adjustment hole, and give it a squirt. Watch for backsplash, and don't get any in your eyes. If the welch plug is not sealed, you'll see carb cleaner coming out around it.
I found a leaking welch plug in a 200t carb.....and the correct kit didn't have the right plug. That sucks. I sealed it with nail polish. Checking for leaking welch plugs is easy to do, and should be a habit on a carb rebuild. Who checks them, and what is your method?
Just got one of those "I want free advise" calls. Fella wanted to know if it was worth the trouble to upgrade to a bigger bore. He has a Poulan Pro 40cc and wanted to go to 42cc. It was a very short call.
Its the free advise calls that never end, taking up WAY too much time, that turns you off to them.

Decisions decisions
Opened up the 268 carb.
Metering lever was really high and I think the diaphragm was not hooked to it.
Adjusted to where it should be and off she went.

husky top cover looks nice!!, box number three is your first builder for a quick flip, 051 is a nice anchor but will make a good milling saw even if they aren't strong resellers
gotta see box 4
