290 Farm Boss carcass had this plug in it.

Threads in the cylinder are stripped and the piston is now ‘dished’. [emoji23]

Make a 390 out of it with Farmertec parts. [emoji1696]

The dead green cell is toast, strong oxidation and signs of bloating.

Two of the three dead red cells were only "sleeping" with the integrated over discharge circuitry kicking in - my "intelligent" charger revived them treating them as NiMh cells, odd but fine with me. ;)
One red cell is dead.

I may end up with 10 good 18650 Li-Ion cells on this battery pack salvage.
The first two are in my Nitecore D2 charger now. :)

Chinese 3500 watt generator that's getting fuel system help. New carb on, waiting for fuel valve. Tested my 5000 watt generator, ran the shop and the AC in it just fine. The compressor was too much for it and it trips the breaker as soon as it kicks on.

A year or two ago I did a muff mod for a guy that said he had a real strong running 066. Well, it got even stronger and he told everyone he loved how it ran (and still does).

So today he dropped off an 044 and asked it I could do the same for it, although he says it also runs real good.

It is a 12 mm, straight fin, black lever 044. Squish is .028, so I will not do a BGD. I'll give it a tune up and mod the muffler, remove the carb limiters and advance the timing. I also repaired a break in the handle with PL premium, and will add an Elastostart pull rope + handle.

As he looked around, he also liked the Wormy Hickory bench I made for some guy on LI, so he also wants one of them! I'm staying very busy this year!
I'm staying busy too this summer, just not making any money...Mine is because of our recent move to another house and my wife's sudden desire to buy a bunch of new stuff for the house we bought. I'm also still trying to find some of my stuff..

Started a project to stain the front of the house, morphed into replacing T-111 siding … a PITA!!!

It is a raised ranch and I'm trying to do it myself and that may not work out too well!

My initial "plan" failed!

Fired up and made cuts with my 340 to 346 conversion, 034, 61 to 272 conversion and 051. All fired right up and cut nicely. Restrung my T235 with .095 Echo Black Diamond line, which does so much better than the round stuff it came with. Had a MS170 and Homelite dropped off. The MS 170 was supposedly running good last week and he couldn't get it running. Piston doesn't look the best but it's still pulling 155 psi. Plug was very wet so I'm suspecting a carb issue.

An old Scout friend of mine called me and asked if I would pick up his late fathers old mower, get it running and sell it for him. I pull up expecting a thrashed Home Depot P.O.S. and he pushes out this beauty. A 2004 John Deere LX 280 48" cut with a 18 HP Kawasaki FH580V and 454.6 original hours, garage kept from new. Pulled the carb off and apparently his Dad had ran it dry for the winter before he got sick. Gave the carb a courtesy bath in the USC, new battery and some fresh gas and off to the races. Went ahead and serviced it and installed new blades mostly because his Dad had already bought a JD service kit and a new set of O.E.M. blades. Cleaned it up, replaced the seat, rubber buffers under the seat, throttle knob, front bumper (was broken, big surprise) and hood decals. Drives like a dream, going to make someone a VERY nice mower.
