Havent posted too much lately, lifes been busy and saws kinda taken a back seat for now. But heres what im working on. Its a 372 xpg. Cases will get sent for powder eventually. Then ill start building again. Till then i have enough parts in my 372 stash to build another one. This one is gonna be an xtorq on OE cases (cuz i dont have xtorq cases). i think from my reasearch its possible with a lil skirt clearancing. If there is anything else to look out for dont be shy. Lol! The head will get machined anyways and then ill port it myself. The case im holding (xtorq) already got new SKFs and seals. Last pic is spare 372 parts. I've did it and ain't no biggy.when ya set the cylinder down note where it touches on the cases.there a small like shelf there If I remember it's on the transfer sides.i used a small burr bit and took a little off till it sat flat.could be done with a Dremel also.

Yes sir! Totally right. Maybe even a non issue if u used a base gasket. But who uses those anyway?:D The spots r very small and ill try and get a good pic for others wer the problem could occur. Im gonna have Dustin do the machine work on this jug for me so we will just clearance the skirt while on the lathe instead of the case. First 2 pics is carb side, second two is muffler side. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

Yup that's the shelf.ive had one that really didn't even bother anything with a gasket.one with gasket delete definitely wouldn't set flat.

So is that the only snag using an xtorq head on an OE case that u know of? Ive read a lot on the issue and i just always hear OE head to xtorq case "yes" xtorq head to OE case "cant", but not much description on the issues. And i despise using the C word. I feel that word just means u havent tried hard enough or havent figured it out. Seems to me so far that if thats the only hang up maybe guys have been overlooking saw builds that could have been possible.:D

Nice! Looks factory.
Thanks. It is a factory switch off of a newer version of the same tractor. I just had to figure out how to wire it because mine was never factory wired for that. The deck is 10 gauge steel and it has to weigh 100# more than the stamped deck. Crazy heavy

Fired up my generator for the tropical storm.

PTU finally was replaced in my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid today. It died a couple weeks ago with 147300 miles. Took it apart to see the carnage. Video in a day or two. The Escape got a reman unit and it's running Royal Purple Max Gear and I'll service it once a year to prevent it from happening again.

Ended up losing power around 4 pm here so I rigged up my jump packs to at least get us through the night. My big pack is charging my phone and running a fan. The other one my girlfriend is using to charge her phone. No power means no water for us since we have a well. I could use the generator but I don't have a cord to plug it in to power the house.

Just finished this tidy MS460, paid about $400us for it, seller said he couldn't start it, fuel filter was completely clogged. After replacement it fired 3rd pull. Some new labels and the judicious placement of some industrial enamel (thanks @Glock37 for the correct RAL colour code) and it's come up good I reckon:
