Last gift from a friend who just passed. His wife gave this to me tonight for helping her sort through his shop stuff.

I asked about the saw the first time I ever stopped in his shop. He just grinned and said he couldn't sell it. Well I guess now that's going to be my line as well. In the 8+ years I knew him I never got the story why he wouldn't sell it, but I'm at peace with that. Makes for a better mystery.

Rest in peace Nick my friend.

Do you still have the stock bearing that was in the case? It'd be interesting to see what that mikes out as, compared to your new bearing.

I don't have it anymore. It was hard to remove, I remember that.....also, it looked like someone else had the saw apart before me. It looked like they had a hard time replacing oil seals. There were a few scratches, gauges, maybe a few marks from a punch, but nothing that would have damaged the bearing housing.

Starting to get the stroker motor back together for my Jeep Wrangler. Used a 4.0 block and a 4.2 crank, Keith black pistons, bored .030 should get me to 4.7 liters and somewhere in the 300hp rangeView attachment 252602
