To start off with I finished off my 660 after being raped for parts.
Then on to the 084 which is in for major surgery. 3/4 built then onto the 394.
Finally got the new rim and sprocket and fitted that up. Ready for action.
Then tried my hand at some square filing of a chain

Not bad, but you got a little bit of a beak. It will cut just fine, but won't stay sharp quite as long. Try to line up that outside corner.

Next to my bench at the shop, Oregon
Got two Echo Bear Cat IG-3500E's going today. Customer just purchased them last month and was already having issues. 1st one was a clogged fire screen. 2nd was a loose connection to the ignition coil which is a factory screw up. Another issue the 2nd one has is a cross thread spark plug hole from the factory as well. Time to do a warranty! Oh wait...parts aren't even made yet because it's to new! :BangHead: Also gotta mower I got running sitting by my bench as well. Should be out the door tomorrow morning.

yeah .. some i nailed.. some i didnt.. got to control my file angles a bit better and inspect more often. :)

I put a stump vice on the bar and put the saw on top of a wooden box I made that has 45 degree lines on it. Helps me to keep my angles correct, just keep the file parallel to the lines.

About Kohler. Does anyone make an after market rebuild kit for the twins? Kohler kits make me woozie their so expensive.

None that I am aware of that are worth it, I rebuilt a K181 with a kit from eBay, it made it six months and started knocking. Took it back apart, put in a genuine Kohler piston and rod, and been good to go ever since, five years or so now.

I have a KT 17 that needs rebuilt. Just can't get past the kits cost.
