FS90 with a pushrod and rocker arm outta place. Ton of carbon on the valve so I think caused a lot of lash and the push rod popped outta place and walla....won't run. Was jammed pretty good, but still straight. Hoping some brake cleaner and air will blow enough of that carbon out to make that thing a runner again.

Well I got that FS90 running today. After spraying some brake cleaner and blowing air through the valves and cylinder I got it to fire and then I sprayed a bunch of sea foam cleaner through it. All this while also running VP fuel. Runs pertty good now! I think it's time for a carb kit though.

Not as cool as a tuned pipe like spencerpaving up there...but chasing an air leak on a 192t for a tree service. I think I found it....

Plus the pto side bearing is on it's way out...clamshell motors ftw!

Hahaha...yea, sure...I'm the slowest guy I know

How far did that saw have to fall to break that?

It didn't fall...oddly enough. Just wouldn't run...the tech at work found a badly ripped boot but still wouldn't hold pressure or vac after replacing it...so I gave the guys my 201t to run and said I'd take it home to investigate further since the shop labor rate would start to get expensive for an inexpensive saw. Hopefully they like my 201 and want to buy it from me. Then I'll piece this turd back together from a couple parts saws. Drink a few millers....you know the gig dan.

MS660 that I got for $22 as a dead filthy saw.

Could find no issues on disassembly other than a worn clutch and drum and a snapped off chain brake/hand guard.
It cleaned up really nice!
Putting it back together tonight I found the problem.

A completely blocked $2 fuel filter.

I can smell the profit in this one!

Right now, I have a 2100 on the bench, along with a nice 359. Things have changed quite a bit in the last month or so. The 385xp, 395xp, (2) 288s, and my 254xp have been sold, the 064 is in the middle of a complete tear down, the MS440 is on its way to Cottle Lane to be ported and turned into a hybrid, and a deal is in place to sell my 2188!

This is from a few weeks ago...View attachment 184

Sweet falling spikes on the stihl saw on the middle shelf. Where can I find them?

Got the MS660 back together this arvo after work.

Fuel, choke, 5 pulls to pop.
2 more and it ran perfect, idling at 2800rpm.
I didn't even have to touch the carb. I rebuilt it but didn't have to adjust it

I still cant believe the previous owner bought a new MS660 to replace this one because of a blocked fuel filter.

Just waiting on the new top name plate, which was only $15.:eek::eek:.

And then a Stihl 064 with pristine OEM top end.
Just waiting on bearings.

Cant wait to test this one out, even if its to be able to say I have run a ridgy didge 064.
I will be keeping all the best bits for my 064/066/288 project, which will be bits in a box for a while, but will get there eventually!
